Welcome to Lab 604 (a.k.a. Philex Lab)! We are always looking for talented applicants pursuing the Ph.D. or Master degree. If you find one of our research topics interesting, feel free to contact us and apply to our graduate or postgraduate program.
Philex Fan is the principle investigator of Lab 604. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and computer science (EECS) undergraduate program and the M.S. degree in electrical control engineering from the National Chiao Tung University (NCTU), Hsinchu, Taiwan in 2008 and 2011 respectively. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K. in 2019. Until August 2021, Philex was a principle engineer at Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd. in Hsinchu, Taiwan, after undertaking the role of a senior research engineer at Arm Ltd. in Cambridge, U.K. He also undertook the role of intern at Qualcomm, Cambridge U.K., and Cisco System Inc., Taipei, Taiwan, and research assistant at the NCTU. Since August 2021, he has been on the faculty of the National Cheng Kung Univeristy (NCKU), Tainan, Taiwan, where he is an assistant professor of Department of Electrical Engieering. He is elected as the 2021 Yushan Youth Scholar by the Ministry of Education, Taiwan and Yu-Jen Scholar by NCKU.
